Nargaloth appears in no pantheon, no founding legend, no heroic tale. And yet, his name is older than many gods. He lurks on the fringes of time, between the boundaries of flesh and oblivion, where memory crumbles into nightmare.
Some believe he was the product of a forbidden rite, a fragment of hatred torn from a vanished world. Others claim he is the incarnation of a pure, soulless appetite, born to consume the living and defile the breathing.
Nargaloth does not kill to dominate. He devours to persist.
His body seems neither alive nor dead: slender, withered, twisted by an inhuman force. Its claws pierce matter, but it is in silence that it is most dangerous: it waits until you breathe a little too close to throw itself on you and devour you, lulled by your cries of terror and pain.

Capacities
Sweeping Strike
In close combat, this creature can simultaneously attack a number of opponents equal to its Adversity Ratio (AR). When it executes a melee attack, it performs a single attack roll that applies to each enemy within range. Each adversary hit suffers the standard damage of the attack, but can still defend themselves, by absorbing, dodging, or parrying the assault.
Life Absorptions
The creature drains the life energy of its opponents within a 5 meter radius. Each affected opponent must succeed on a WIS test of difficulty 13 to resist it. If it fails, the target loses 1d6 HP, which is immediately restored to the creature as healing.
