Personal data
Creating an account records your email address, your display name, your password, your chosen language and, if you upload one, your avatar. Nothing else: no IP address, no login history, no profiling data.
Your password is never kept in plain text: only an irreversible fingerprint of it is stored, from which it cannot be recovered.
This information serves only to run your account and the content you create: characters, codex entries, creatures, game tables. It is never sold, never passed to a third party, and never used to send you advertising.
Only your display name is visible to other members: it accompanies the content you choose to share with the community, so that you are credited for it. Your email address is never displayed.
Your data is kept for as long as your account exists.
You can view and change your information at any time from your profile. To delete your account and its data, or to obtain a copy of your data, send your request through the contact form.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses no advertising tracker and sends no browsing data to any third party.
The only cookies it sets are those it needs to work: keeping your session, protecting against request forgery, remembering the light or dark theme you pick, and keeping you logged in for thirty days if you tick "Remember me".
Audience measurement is done in-house, as aggregated statistics: number of pages viewed and of daily visitors, most visited pages, where visits come from, language and device type. Visitors within a single day are told apart by a non-reversible technical fingerprint, computed from the IP address and the browser with a random key specific to that day; the IP address itself is never recorded at all. The fingerprint and the day's key are destroyed no later than the following day, no measurement cookie is used, and your browsing cannot be followed from one day to the next. The aggregated statistics, which cannot identify you, are kept for twenty-five months. Download counting for scenario and campaign archives relies on a non-reversible technical fingerprint: it cannot identify you and only prevents the same download from being counted twice.

The artwork of the site and of the official codex was generated with the Midjourney platform by Nicolas Bédé, owner of the Worlds Awakening site.
Their reuse is subject to the following terms:
- reproduction, display, distribution and non-commercial use are permitted, provided credit is given;
- any commercial use is prohibited without prior formal written agreement;
- any breach of these terms exposes its author to legal action.
Content published by members
The rest of the site's content — characters, creatures, codex entries, scenarios and campaigns, together with their images, portraits and maps — is published by members. It remains the property of its authors: the terms above do not apply to it, and its reuse is up to the author.
By uploading content, its author states that they hold the necessary rights and infringe no third-party rights, in particular for the images they upload.
By uploading it, they allow the site to display, store and reproduce it only as far as running the service requires: site pages, printable sheets, and the downloadable archives of scenarios and campaigns. It is put to no other use.
By choosing to share an entry with the community, its author allows other members to copy it into their own workshop for their own play; the copy keeps the credit of its original author.
Content infringing your rights can be reported through the contact form: it will be taken down.
